{60 second flourless chocolate cake}

I am a huge choco-holic and I’m constantly trying to balance my commitment to health with my obsession with the dark stuff! After several unsuccessful attempts, I came up with a recipe for single servings of dark chocolate flourless cake that’s out of this world.  I love this recipe because it’s super quick, very chocolatey, and requires only 5 ingredients and no cooking skills! Feel free to top with a dollop of whipped cream and enjoy!



{60 second flourless chocolate cake}

A fudgy dark chocolate cake you can make in your microwave.

  1. 1/4 C unsweetened cocoa powder
  2. 2 Tbsp honey
  3. 1 whole egg
  4. pinch of salt
  5. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  6. 2 Tbsp butter (melted)
  1. Mix cocoa, honey, salt, egg, and vanilla in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Melt the butter in a microwave safe mug-use the same mug you plan to cook the cake in so the cake won't stick to the sides.
  3. Add the melted butter to the cocoa mixture and combine thoroughly.
  4. Pour the batter in the buttered mug, heat in the microwave for 1 1/2 min on 50% power.
  5. Remove the cake from the microwave and let sit for 2 min...turn the cake out onto a plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy!
  1. Add a 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper to the batter for a delightful surprise!
