  1. 1 banana (yellow but not too ripe)
  2. 1 large handful organic spinach (raw)
  3. 2 Tablespoons cacao powder
  4. 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  5. 1-2 Tablespoons almond butter (I used raw almond butter from Trader Joe's...so delicious!)
  6. 1/2 Cup almond milk (unsweetened and can be vanilla flavored)
  7. 1/2 Cup frozen mixed berries
  1. Combine all ingredients, except the berries, together in the order that I've listed it.
  2. Blend until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Let the berries defrost at room temperature for up to 5 minutes.
  4. Add the slightly defrosted berries to the smoothie and blend again until completely smooth. You may need to add more almond milk at this point to get the consistency you desire.
  5. I prefer a more thick smoothie but others might enjoy a less viscous drink. Adjust the liquid to change the consistency.
