{Starbucks pumpkin spice latte}

Everyone knows it’s Fall when Starbucks starts advertising their Pumpkin Spice Latte. Everyone also knows {or should know} that the syrups used in coffee houses are laden with artificial ingredients and sweeteners. We don’t want any of that crap in our healthy, sexy bodies now do we? I sure don’t, which is why I started with real pumpkin and natural sweeteners to come up with this fast and yummy treat!

Note: My camera broke about a couple weeks ago and I’ve been hesitant to post pictures until I get it fixed. However, I just couldn’t sit on this recipe any longer, I really wanted to share it with you guys! I apologize in advance for the mediocre photos in the next few posts, but I’m working on getting my camera fixed so your food porn will be back soon!

  • 2 Cups freshly brewed coffee (strong)
  • ¼ C whole milk
  • 1 Tbsp canned pumpkin
  • 1tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • stevia (start with ½ tsp and add more to taste-don’t add too much, it can get bitter)
  • whipped cream (optional)

1. Brew 2 cups of your favorite coffee.

2 Heat the milk in the microwave for 30-40min until it is steaming.

3. Add the rest of your ingredients (except the whipped cream) to the milk and whisk until thoroughly combined.

4. Add half of the pumpkin milk to each cup of coffee, top with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice for garnish.

5. Curl up with a good book and enjoy!
